For this week's Looks We Love, I'm sharing a look from one of my personal style icons, Jeanne Damas, someone who embodies the epitome of French girl style. She always looks cool, effortless and like she's having fun in what she's wearing. The below is a perfect example - her outfit is simple yet interesting, with several twists on the classics.
I love this outfit on her. Mixing navy and black always looks slightly irreverent and cool. She looks comfortable and relaxed, like she did not try too hard but wants to make sure you see her cute shoes! Pairing a simple outfit with colorful or crazy shoes has always been a favorite outfit formula of mine.
Here are some ways to get the same look at both the Splurge and Save levels:
At the Splurge level, all three of these shoes are so so good. From top to bottom, the Tory Burch Leyla suede beauties are stunning and would be so versatile (also available here); the Loeffler Randall sandals are the ultimate party shoes (see Grace looking adorable in them here); and the blood orange Aquazzura sandals are the perfect pop of color with a simple outfit (and side note, Azuazurra shoes are surprisingly comfortable and durable).
At the Save level, these Madewell tassel sandals have all the benefits of a sturdy block heel, but with fun tassels and ankle ties. These Sam Edelman lace-up sandals come in a variety of different colors and textures, including suede, and could work for a lot of different occasions. These Steve Madden ankle tie sandals come in blue and black nobuck, and have cool braided straps that are different from other sandals I have seen.
Both of the jeans are cropped enough to fully show off your shoes, and in mid-wash colors. The Splurge jeans are from MOTHER, with cool frayed ends and a great stretch fit. The Save jeans are the high-rise skinny jeans from Madewell (a favorite fit of ours).
