Part 2 of our Gift Guide series is for the men in your life. After polling all of the men that we know, we came up with our top items below. I am very excited to share!
This was a random stocking stuffer I gave my husband one year but he gets the most use out of this of probably any gift, ever. Attach the Tile to any item you frequently lose (keys, remote) then use the app on your phone to "call" that item by making a sound until you locate it.
This is one of those things I am surprised by just how much my husband loves. The first day it gets below 70 degrees, I swear the Patagonia vest goes on and does not come off all season. I asked him why he likes it so much and he was not super descriptive but from what I can gather, it holds all his stuff, is comfortable, and can be worn inside (unlike a coat).
I have been enamored with this thing since I saw it on Kickstarter earlier this year. It seems like such a silly thing to buy for yourself, but I think most people would secretly LOVE to own one (or two). Each of these lounge chairs can be inflated in seconds (just by taking a few steps while holding it open), and can hold up to three adults. Seems so fun for camping, beach trips, hiking, etc. When deflated can be easily stuck in a backpack. See how it works here.
I don't have one personally, but hear rave reviews about the sous vide. Every time we are at a friend's house and they cook with it, the meal comes out fantastic. I know a lot of guys lately who are very into all of the cooking gadgets, especially when it comes to preparing da meat. If you already have a crock pot, this immersion circulator has great reviews (and can be controlled with your phone). Not there yet? This instant read thermometer is another useful gadget that gets constant use in our house.
I LOVE all things Outdoor Voices. They are cool, classic, and flattering. They are also super soft. I got some of these shorts for my dad last year, not sure if they would be a hit or not, but he loved them! My husband also has these Birddogs athletic shorts and thinks they're the best, ever.
Okay, bear with me. This was a new one to me. I got several mentions of headphones from guys, particularly headphones you can wear while maintaining awareness of your surroundings. These are bone conduction headphones that allow you to hear sound through the vibration of the bones of your face (woah). These are perfect to wear while bike riding and came highly recommended to me by a co-worker.
Darn Tough socks are knitted in Vermont and cover all the requirements you need in socks - they're durable, soft and stay put. They also come in fun patterns. I also love Happy Socks for men. Side note: these are the best for under booties (they don't slip as you walk). Travelling soon? Smartwool socks are the only way to go. You can wash in the sink and they dry super fast.
Panorella prints a high-resolution panoramic image of your choosing on the inside of an umbrella. Um, what! If the guy you're shopping for needs a new umbrella, I can't think of a cooler one. This would be such a fun way to remember a favorite vacation picture.
Carhartt has been around a long time (since 1889) and specializes in outdoor and workwear. This jacket is tough and very warm. The interior has quilted flannel lining for warmth and two inside pockets for utility. Per the guy who recommended this to me (and online reviews), it holds up very well.
