Lately I've been really into the untucked look and the half-tucked look (tucked in in the front, party in the back). The tiny change from having everything tucked in, as a rule, to incorporating a half-tuck or untuck every now and then has expanded what my clothes can do for me.
Here are some looks I've been noticing lately:
Try pairing a collared top (loving Cuyana's selections) under a thin sweater (preferably v-neck or scoop neck so you can see the shirt peeking out underneath). Leave it untucked over a skirt a la Kendi Everyday, seen rocking a similar look here.
Another option (shown above) is to pair a skirt or trousers with a tunic top, then belt it (score, this belt is reversible) somewhere around the belly button. Bonus points for execution of the J. Crew cuff.
Not necessarily the best for work, but a cool way to take a work shirt and turn it into weekend wear (aka every J. Crew catalog ever) is to knot it at the waist like you're on vacation. Add statement earrings and boom, pretend that you are!
