TLC Travels: Themed VayCay

I love a good themed vay-cay, especially when the destination is Palm Springs.  I'm all about the laid back desert and midcentury modern vibe.  I love bringing a bit of the city into my travel bag, no matter where I am headed.  This doesn't need to be super expensive nor do you need to go all out.  A few strategic items thrown in to your usual routine get the job done.  Check out a few of my favorite items I recently picked up before I leave town this week.

These beauties are worth booking a Palm Springs trip just to wear.

I haven't styled them yet, but I plan to try with an all white ensemble and a simple pair of cutoff shorts and t-shirt.

Trina Turk is the queen-bee of Palm Springs.  The designer's flagship store is there and there is no way you can leave her shop in a bad mood.  There is so much color and life just bubbling out of the doors and windows.  Known for her bright prints, she also makes amazing lounging pants to sip cocktails in by the pool.

Even if you aren't going during a festival weekend, you must channel some sort of festival attire. Cutoffs are the perfect way to do this.  Pair with a simple tank and mules, this is a easy fun and cool outfit for strolling or out for dinner.

Last but not least, I will most definitely be wearing some semi-outrageous headwear.
