How to Style: Where Are They Now?

A few weeks ago, I shared with you a few purchases I made for an upcoming trip to Palm Springs.  Since we like to get serious wear out of our clothes, I wanted to share a little where are they now and show you how I am implementing my vay cay purchases into my weekly life.

Trina Turk Kimono.  Because this was a light feathery material, it pairs well over an all-black or all-white ensemble for weekend brunch or a day at the office.  Mine is sold out, but some of my other favorites are here and here.

Cuffed shorts.  I love a short short with a formal, button down top for a day out and about.  While a v-neck tee always looks summery, a button down gives a casual luxe look.

Palm mules.  Ultimately, I couldn’t get the palm mules in time for my trip.  So, I went with these slides as an impulse replacement and I haven’t regretted it.  A bit casual for a conservative office, these are a great alternative to a plain flipflop throughout the summer and will liven up a streamlined outfit or pair well with bright summer patterns.
